Well, I guess you can all tell that I made it back to NJ all in
one piece.
My dad and I had a great time together driving across country
visiting some cool places along the way. The highlight of the
trip was inventing new and exciting names for all the moronic
drivers that got in our way. :-) I'd post some examples, but my
site would then be banned from some, er, "conservative
people's" web browsers, and I certainly wouldn't want
that!
Anyway, our tour essentially took this route:

As you can see, it wasn't the most direct way, but we planned it this way so we could hit lots of national parks and some other cool places.

(which rocked-- thanks Jeff for the recommendation),
The Bonneville Salt Flats outside Salt Lake City (where the Land Speed Record has been set and broken a zillion times; my dad raced there about 8 years ago),
Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming (just because its cool),
Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming (just because it's weird),
The Chief Crazy Horse Monument in South Dakota (it's very moving),
THE COSMOS (because it's the coolest thing on the earth),
The Badlands (another cool place in South Dakota's Black Hills); and
